Weekend guidelines:

We aim to provide and maintain a friendly, inclusive, peaceful and safe environment for all visitors, including adults, children, pets and the Earth. To help nurture this environment, we created a set of rules and guidelines for all to review before booking and sign during check-in. Please initial the space in front of each point to acknowledge and consent to the below conditions:

FESTIVAL & GROUND GUIDELINES & RULES

  1. Assume Positive Intent - Most people don't come to a retreat to cause trouble. We ask everyone to have an open heart and mind and assume fellow campers are doing their best to do the same.

  2. Garbage In-Garbage Out - There aren't any garbage disposal facilities on-site. Please take whatever garbage you bring back home to help keep our Earth Mother clean and healthy.

  3. Litter - We ask that any objects not actively used be cleaned or put away, such as beverage containers, food, pet waste, cooking supplies, etc. This is for safety reasons since otherwise, it can be a tripping hazard. Please use the toilets provided.

  4. Smoking - To adhere to Nova Scotia's Smoke-Free Places Act, smoking on campgrounds is prohibited. A designated smoking area is available in the parking lot, at least 25 feet from the entrance. The Smoke-Free Places Act applies to all combustibles, including tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, and waterpipes." Please don't litter and use the 'butt-out' stations provided.

  5. Alcohol - This is a family event. Please consume responsibly. Glass is not permitted for safety reasons. We encourage everyone to use a refillable receptacle when drinking (bottle or travel mug).

  6. Children - Children require direct supervision at all times. They are not to be left unattended. Children must use the toilets provided, and parents must dispose of diapers responsibly. Parents must clean up after their children promptly.

  7. Pets - While pets are welcome, please consider if this is the right event for your pet. There will be many children and possibly a variety of pets. We are also adjacent to farmland with livestock and various visiting wildlife. Pets require direct supervision at all times. They are not to be left unattended and must be leashed. Please poop and scoop immediately. Pets must not disrupt festival activities or participants (ex., continuous barking or aggressive behaviour). The owner and pet will be asked to leave if a pet is aggressive, destructive or otherwise disruptive.

  8. *Quiet Time Symbol* - To enhance participants' experience, organizers have requested quiet time for some planned rituals and workshops. We ask people to review the schedule and note events marked with an asterisk (*). This symbol indicates that quiet and serenity are required for the event. Please do your best to respect the space and keep your voices low as we try our best to accommodate everyone.

  9. Fire & River - Firepits and the River are used for cooking and rituals. Please always keep plastic, styrofoam, cans, fuel, waste and other pollutants away from the fire pits and the river. We will also adhere to the local burn bans.

  10. Provide Safe Space - Please respect all campers, their bodies, and their space. Everyone deserves to feel safe, and we encourage everyone to speak openly and respectfully about consent and their boundaries. Bullying is not tolerated.

Unwillingness to abide by the rules will result in one verbal warning. Second offenders will be asked to leave. Although we are not a policing body we take our responsibility to provide a healthy and safe environment seriously. We will not hesitate to call applicable authorities should the need arise. Violation of any of the above mentioned guidelines or local law may result in you your party being asked to leave. By signing you understand and agree to adhere to all of the above conditions.
